40 Weeks!

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!
Another week, come and gone! I can't believe it's almost June! And I'm still pregnant!
Kirk and I took advantage of this week and got a LOT of spring cleaning done! We cleaned out the garage, cleaned up the yard and reseeded the lawn in the back, got a fridge/freezer for the garage, got Moja a dog pool for the hot summer ahead, cleaned out our closet and made a ginormous D.I. run, vacuumed/washed the truck.... all sorts of good things! It feels awesome to get stuff done. It made me realize how blessed I am to be soooo pregnant and yet still active and healthy! And it was also really enjoyable for me to do that together with Kirk!

Well, my little brother went into the M.T.C this week! There's something about knowing he's gone that makes me miss him a lot! It's kinda funny! I have lived 300 miles away from him for almost 2 years and yet, now I miss him! He's such a little stud. I can't wait to get that first letter/email from him! Watch out Washington, here comes Elder Fortuna! :)

Good Things That Happened This Week:
  • I didn't have our baby! (dang it!) Which can be a good thing-ish......My Dr was out of town, which means if I went into labor it would have been some random dude delivering me. Soooooo if I look at it that way it makes things a little better...! Although I would have no complaints if he did come!!!!!
  • Our neighbor brought us cupcakes!
  • Kung Foo Panda #2 Came out...can't wait to take kirk! It's his fav!
  • Dave went to the MTC and I was able to talk to him over the phone before he left!
  • Spring Cleaning! We still have yet to use the carpet cleaner we've been borrowing from kirks mom for the past 6 weeks+...but we'll get there!
  • I made bananananana bread with our dead nana's!
  • We went to a Poly BBQ at our neighbors house and rocked it! The party didn't start until 10pm -it made us feel pretty young to be invited! Especially because nothing STARTS that late when you get old, married, and with child...like us hahaha We were the only white people too...yeah-we're that cool!
  • Mama Obama had her baby girl!! Her name is Tatum :) Cute huh?!?!!
  • Kirk didn't have Monday night Fire training! Yay for having finally getting a Monday night together! Those are few and far between!
  • We saved our neighbors house! They left hot coals out from the BBQ and went out of town! ...Their backyard caught on fire!! I heard the crackling and got kirk, who saved the day. Thank goodness Kirk is a fireman! We felt pretty blessed to be part of that, considering we almost left for the day. Who knows how bad it could have been until someone else noticed. Their backyard has lots of wood chips and their grass is dead. The houses in our HOA are close to each other and the yards are small....we were counting our blessings that day.
  • Our Savings Account it going back up!!!!!!! Do you even know how good that feels?!?! Oh my goodness, words can't explain...
  • Our baby boy has been busier than ever! I keep telling my husband that he's going to kick me open! It's been really fun to feel his energy get stronger and stronger. He's a crazy little boy! At least I know he's okay in there :)

Well! I have another Dr's appt tomorrow! Keep your fingers crossed that I don't last that long!! :)

We're Still Here!

I'm still here and ready for our little baby whenever he's ready for us! I'm progressing along quite well and surprised that our son isn't here yet! I've been extremely anxious the last while and finally feel like I've come to terms with still being pregnant lol. Our Dr has been telling us since 37 weeks that I could deliver any day! I wish she wouldn't have because it has made this last month painfully long. I really want our baby to stay inside as long as he needs and I've vowed to not do anything to rush him out, but I can't wait to love him and tell him how much I've wanted him my whole life! I'm sitting at "almost 4 cm's" (so what is that anyway? 3.5? 3?) dilated and completely effaced... if you're a mommy you know how uncomfortable it is! I had a few down days last week and was so grateful to have my sweet mother come rescue me over the weekend. She is such a wonderful, spiritual and gracious woman! I feel so much peace and love around her. I was pretty jealous to hear 2 of my neighbors delivered their babies last week when I had the first due date of us 3, dang it! So I can be jealous, but have all the more reason to be grateful. I know that this last little while will go fast... even if I go past my due date! What's a few more days if I've gone almost 40 weeks, right!? I can tell you that my tired body is quite ready, but I guess he's just not! And that's okay! Being pregnant has truly brought me an added measure of the Spirit and I'm not anxious to let that go. I love my husband and can't wait to watch him with our baby boy!
