Salt Lake City!

We FINALLY got the chance to go to SL last weekend! and boy was it overdue! we must have done something right to have such amazing families and friends. we have decided that josh and heather need to move to st george b/c we freakin love them! they are by far our best friends in the whole world...this whole distance thing just isn't workin for us! so when you read this heather, if you and josh could work on that-it'd be GREAT! love ya!!

we went to the Joseph Smith Memorial building on saturday for a huge McAllister family celebration. grandma turned 80!! and it was a beautiful sight to see her entire family there. everyone had to travel in from various areas but aunt Kathy had been plannin this for over a year! and EVERYONE made it! she did an excellent job! there is something miraculous about a close knit family! grandma and grandpa mcallister are such an in-love couple...i can just see the memories they have made and the challenges they have faced and the life they have lived. they still joke with each other, show affection to one another and find joy in each others happiness. they are an example of who i want to become 60 years down the road with my handsome kirk.

after words kirk and i took the opportunity to walk the Salt Lake Temple grounds. we could not have asked for a more beautiful spring day to do so! it is so easy to feel the spirit on dedicated ground. about a week ago Kirk and I watched a movie on the symbolizm of the Sl Temple, so we shared our testimonies and thoughts on that as we marveled at this gosple. he is incredible.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KELLIE!

THEN! saturday night was hoppin at my house!! my sis had friends over watching movies and chillin, my little brother had him-his date and 2 other couples playing pool and air hockey ALL over the place! but we ended up hot tubbing with my older bro and all his high school friends! thanks to mom who bought us new swim suits just because, and left them for us to find on the guest room bed (where we stayed)! that was a ton of fun!! good music. good memories and hilarious company! awh! those are the days!! ...hanging out with my sis... making sunday dinner with my mom... going to church with my entire family! ...the boys watchin sports while the girls chit chat... moms home-made cookies and brownies from scratch! she is by FAR the greatest cook on the face of this planet!... playing the piano for my husband... and laughing our BOOTAY off! i just love how much fun we have with them!! and it's soo easy to be together! i think this is the first time we survived a trip of no food fights started by dad! can't even believe it! i love them!
